These two people became the core of her loving and kind character. Velvet grew up with no parents but worked alongside her siblings. She also acts stubborn towards females and insists that she’d be given priority, especially when seeing Laphicet speak to Eleanour. But after spending time with him, she opens up slowly and is happy that she had given him a purpose in life.

She once acted frustrated with Laphicet due to his obedience to The Abbey. All that’s left of the once loving and caring character of Velvet is now a gloomy and dark facade that hides her loneliness due to being feared. However, that all changed when the Scarlet Night took place. She also got along well with her sister Cecilia Crowe and her brother-in-law Artorius Collbrande. Most of all, she cared deeply for her younger brother – Laphicet Crowe. Years ago before the imprisonment, Velvet could be seen as a loving and caring character.
